Weekly Wrap-Up #14- Technical Difficulties

It seems silly to be putting out a wrap-up on a Monday, but unfortunately, I’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties.  Sadly, my almost 6-year-old laptop has slowed down considerably in the last week, and I’m fearing the worst.

I will admit that I’m very attached to my HP Pavilion.  This thing has been my constant technological companion for years now, surviving cross-country trips, being lugged overseas, and helping me to stay connected and earn money from everywhere.  The thought of getting a new laptop just makes me feel bummed out :-/

Anyway, on to the blog updates.

I’ve gotten quite a few more Twitter followers recently, which is exciting.  If we haven’t connected on there yet, please follow me!  I also have a Google + profile that I’ve been working on building up.  If you have one, do you find it to be beneficial?

I had another post up on Travel Blue Book last week: Kid Free Orlando: Where to Go and What to Do

Alexa Update: Stuck at 118,520

There were a lot of great posts that I enjoyed by others last week.  Here are a few of my faves:

Financial Lessons from Walter White by Mel at brokeGIRLrich

Hope you have a great week!

  1. Sorry to hear your computer’s going out on you. At least it’s slowing down first, this way you’ve got time to get your favorite files off of it! Thanks for the list of great reads, I’m going to have to check them out!

  2. Sorry to hear about the laptop issues. I have a Pavilion myself, it’s about two years old and the quality of them must’ve gone done over time because mine has left a bit to be desired. I’ve been on G+ for awhile and get some views from it, though not a ton. It’s supposedly beneficial from an SEO standpoint, but who knows.

  3. I hope your laptop problems go away! I also have a 5 year old Pavilion, except the battery and adapter broke, so I can’t run it. It had started to slow up before that, though. You could check to see if your hard drive has been defragmented lately; sometimes that helps. Otherwise, a clean install could be an option.

  4. Thanks for the share Lauren! I’m sorry about your computer! I hope you don’t have to buy a new one! I just started my G+ account this past week or so. Yet to get any views directed from it. But I use Hootsuite to post to all my social media and they support G+ so I figured why not?
